Matthew James McCrudden, 28, of Fort Washington, PA and Denver, CO, passed away on April 14, 2023. Matthew was the beloved son of John and Eileen (nee Foley). Loving brother of Michaela (Tim) and Liam, boyfriend of Mary Kate. He was also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matt grew up in the Fort Washington, PA area. He went to grade school at St. Alphonsus, La Salle College High School, then onto Iona College in New Rochelle, NY.
Matt was a warm and outgoing guy who radiated happiness and a love for all life had to offer. His smile and laugh were contagious enough to light up the room and he adored the people around him more than anything.
In high school he discovered water polo. It turned out to be a sport in which he excelled as a goalie. He enjoyed competing throughout his eight years at LaSalle and Iona. Many of the friendships formed there were held long after the school years.
After college he worked and lived in NYC, San Francisco, and Denver. He made good friends everywhere he went. His passions were concerts to see his favorite bands (especially Phish), cheering on his Philly sports teams, and being outdoors, whether it was snowboarding, hiking, or camping. He spent many weekends traveling from coast to coast enjoying weekend jams. You could find him in his silly outfits and hats at any given moment at a concert or on the slopes.
Matthew was a guy who lit up a room whenever he entered with his big smile. He brought so much joy to the people around him and had a way of effortlessly making people feel so special and loved. He was a good son, loyal brother, and best friend who could be depended upon if you needed him. It was a blessing to be in his company and he will be truly and forever missed.
RIP Mose
