Matthew Allen Patterson of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Theodore Patterson and Kathleen Frederick Patterson was born on Monday, July 30, 1962 in Liberty, Kentucky and departed this life on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his home. He was 62 years, 5 months, and 10 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was self-employed and operated Patterson Dozer.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife: Colena Coleman Patterson on January 30, 2015.
Survivors include two brothers: Mark and Ann Patterson of Campbellsville, James Patterson of Greensburg; three sisters-in-law: Cathy Patterson of Summersville, Connie Patterson of Campbellsville, Debra Patterson of Greensburg; two step-daughters: Gina Kennedy and Shell Kennedy both of Campbellsville; six step-grandchildren: Lance DeBouse and Aniya Haire of Radcliff, Marissa DeBouse and Caiden Durrett of Greensburg, Colen and Andrea Ervin of Campbellsville, Nyla Beard of Campbellsville; a special companion: Angela Patterson of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is also preceded in death by three brothers: Nathan Patterson, David Patterson, Daniel Patterson; a sister: Becky Ponder; a brother-in-law: Mike Ponder.

The funeral services for Matthew Allen Patterson will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Patterson Family Cemetery. Bro. Cliffton Sullivan officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M. Wednesday until time of the funeral service.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Patterson Family Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
