Matthew Joyal Trottier passed away suddenly at home Friday, May 16, 2025.
Matt was born February 25, 1960 in Mineral Wells, Tx to Gerald R Trottier and Jean Lawton Trottier. During his childhood he traveled to many places in the US and around the world as his family served the country with the US Army.
He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1978 and went on to earn certification as an electrician and point of sale computer programmer and served in the US Navy until he found his true calling as a builder. He could build anything and much of what he created will serve the community for decades to come.
He met his wife Victoria late in life and was dedicated to making the nearly 20 years they had together the happiest, most untroubled period of their lives.
He was a loving son, father, brother, husband, friend, and his favorite role of all, Pops.
Preceding Matthew in death are his father Jerry, and brothers-in-law Joe and Danny.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Victoria, his mother Jean, his best friend Bob (Lori), brothers James (Judy) and John (Michelle), sisters Beth (Joe [d]) and Joanie (Jerry). Also missing him are children and stepchildren Jeremy (Jennifer), Dustin, Charlesie, Justin (Sandy), Cortney (Mark), Whitney (Colton), and Cody, and grandchildren Nathan, Caden, Jonah, Ryan, Rylee, Dilan, and Dallas, numerous Aunts, Uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, business associates and loyal clients.
Services to be announced. Memorials in Matt's name can be made to local Christian and Veteran's services.
