Kathleen "Katie" Susan Trottier, age 40, of Buffalo, Minnesota, was called to her heavenly home on April 3, 2025, with her beloved family by her side at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Katie was born on June 29, 1984, to Duane and Jean Wikman in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the youngest of ten children. Katie enjoyed family vacations and spending time with friends and family. She especially enjoyed shopping with her mom and older sisters. She could always talk them into buying her something special. Katie's brothers were her fierce protectors. Her siblings remember her as a kind and loving sister.
Katie met her future husband, Cody Trottier, through mutual friends. Katie and Cody resided in Buffalo, Minnesota, where they spent many happy years together with their three children: Wyatt, Bronson, and Samson. As a family, they loved hiking, taking long bike rides, camping, and having barbeques.
Katie is especially remembered for her bright smile and big heart. With Katie around, there was lots of laughter and delicious meals prepared by Katie and Cody. She touched many lives with her love and affection and will be greatly missed.
Katie was preceded in death by her father, Duane Wikman.
Katie is survived by her husband, Cody Trottier and their three children: Wyatt, 13; Bronson, 10; and Samson, 7; her mother, Jean; siblings: Linda (Christopher) Ames, David, Julie, Steven (Kristen), Peter (Leanda), Keith (Adrienne), Amy (Robert) McMillan, James (Mary Ann), and Jeffrey: many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM (Noon) with visitation beginning two hours prior at 10:00 AM all at the Laestadian Lutheran Church, 1860 County Road 39 NE, Monticello, MN. Private interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo, MN.

Today is Easter and we saw the boys walking as we went to church, it was not the same as when we saw you all together walking as you always did around town.... We pulled to the side to say Hi and our heart broke as we said goodbye. The boys were on a walk to visit you and we knew in our hearts you are now their angel and that your spirit was guiding them with your lord on one hand and your father in the other.
