Maureen was born on September 24, 1954 in Yonkers, NY to Charles and Annie Devlin who predeceased her. Maureen attended St. Peter Grammar School and Sacred Heart HS in Yonkers and earned a BS from UC San Francisco in Psychology.
In San Francisco, Maureen pursued a career in finance with Alex Brown & Sons. Upon returning east, she managed the Calico Corners store in Danbury, CT showcasing her talent and passion for design. Maureen was a shining light in the lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and compassion for others. While living in Newton, CT Maureen volunteered at Danbury Hospital and the Newtown Ambulance Corp.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Michael Collins, her brother Charles Devlin (Ellen) and sister Anne Devlin Carmody (William). She was also a loving aunt to her niece and nephews: Meagan and Michael Devlin and Sean and Kevin Carmody as well as 3 grandnephews and 3 grandnieces.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Her Funeral Mass and Burial will be held at the Assumption Church and Cemetery in Peekskill at a future date.
