Maurice Grant "Old Man" Mauldin

Maurice "Old Man" Grant Mauldin, 81, of Temple, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 in Temple. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 30, 2023 in Lexington Cemetery in Lexington. He was born on June 19, 1942 to Frank and Vivian (Hobbs) Mauldin in Rockdale. He worked at ALCOA for 31 years, retiring as a head tapper. After retiring, he restored houses, doing all of the carpentry and electrical himself. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Vivian Mauldin; a daughter, Lorena Mauldin, a brother, John Wesley Mauldin; a sister, Mary "Mickey" Roberts; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Jeanese Mauldin.
Grant is survived by his children, Rosalee Jones, Earl Grant Mauldin and wife Stacy, and Sophia "Soap" Mauldin; grandchildren, Douglas Mauldin, Matthew Mauldin, Amber McKendrick, Billy Mauldin, Amelia Mauldin, Zoye Larison, Zaymein Jack Mauldin Martinez, and Zayne McKendrick; great grandchildren, Brantley McKendrick, Tinsley McKendrick, and Wyatt McKendrick; twin brother, Glenn Mauldin; brother Thomas Mauldin and wife Mary Ann; sisters, Kathy Cohlman and husband Jack, and Betty Sue Bowen and husband Jimmie; stepson, John Mikeska, ex-wife, Maxine Mauldin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
