I was Max's Equine assisted learning teacher at Soulegria for a time about a year ago and my son also recently worked with Max at the golf course. He was a quiet, kind soul. You could feel his strong spirit every time you were near him. As you can see by his "Past, Present, and Future" poster he is holding, he had a great desire to overcome his weaknesses and even hoped to be a father some day. He loved deeply. I will miss him!

My son also goes to Soulegria, and lives at home. Not long after he first started at the ranch, he was having a rough day and refusing to go, even refusing to leave his room. Max came over to our house and calmed him, helped him to feel better and talked him into going. We love Max. First time I saw him, I thought he was a big as a bear. Then I looked at his face and thought, "Teddy bear, that is." We are so sorry for your loss and grieve with you.

Max came and helped us put in our sod on the Friday before he died. He and my husband had a good talk about Kentucky and their Ale 8 One, ginger ale they both loved. The group of boys he was with helped so much. It was so kind of Max to come. Sending so much love and prayers to his dear family.
