BERKSHIRE - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Megan Ann Benware, a vibrant spirit who lived life to the fullest. Megan passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Born in St. Albans, Vermont, on August 19, 1987, Megan grew up in Enosburg Falls, where her love for art and adventure blossomed. She was a talented artist, known for her stunning murals that adorned walls and doors-transforming ordinary spaces into expressions of beauty and creativity.
Megan was not only an artist but also a passionate cosmetologist, bringing her unique flair to her clients as she enhanced their beauty. As an excellent cook, she loved to share her culinary creations, bringing joy to family and friends around the dinner table. Her adventurous spirit led her outdoors, where she thrived while floating down the river, four-wheeling, and sledding. Known for her fearless attitude, she truly was "born to drive" and loved going for rides around the area.
Megan's warm heart and infectious laughter touched everyone she met. Her legacy is one of joy, creativity, and a reminder to embrace the world around us.
Left to cherish her memory is her children, Brandon LeBlanc, and Bailee Rockwell; her partner, Eric Benware and his children Destiny Benware, Erika Benware, and Gage Benware; her brother, Jeff Fleury and his significant other Shiloh Sweeney and their son, Milo Oliver Fleury; her sister, Laura Fleury and her significant other Thomas Gleason IV and their son, Thomas Gleason V; her best friends, Courtney Billado, and Tiffany Mills; aunts & uncles, Albert Paradis and his wife Dawn, Richard Paradis and his partner Darlene Coulombe, Leo Paradis and his wife Baerbel, Helen Millinor, Charles Paradis, Lisa M. Kane, and her fiancé Stephen Parent and, Joseph Paradis and his wife Stefanie, and Susan Paradis; and many cousins, and friends throughout the area. Megan was predeceased by her mother, Claudette Paradis; her father, Brent Cookson; and her uncle, Paul Paradis.
Friends & family are invited to Megan's life celebration on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT to include a visitation from 1-2:00 PM followed with a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
