MITCHELL – Megan Marie Duncan, 24, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at her residence.
Born April 28, 2001, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Timothy Scott Duncan and Diana Lynn (McLaughlin) Guthrie.
Megan worked for High Bridge Solutions in New Jersey. She liked sea turtles, music, drawing, and cruising in her car. Astrology was a special interest of hers, and she loved to look at the moon and stars. Megan deeply loved her family.
Surviving are her father, Timothy Scott (Melody) Duncan of Mitchell; mother, Diana Lynn (Jeff) Guthrie of Mitchell; brothers, Tyler Johnson of Bedford and Josh (Kat) Johnson of Bedford; maternal grandmother, Sharon "Nana" Eisele of Mitchell; maternal grandfather, Mike "Papaw" McLaughlin of Loogootee; boyfriend, Houston Akers; two nephews; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Her brother, Anthony Wade; maternal grandfather, Scott "Pappy" Eisele; paternal grandparents, Bob Duncan and Nancy Duncan; mamaw, Diane Kinkead; mamaw and papaw, Mary Guthrie and Mike Guthrie; great-grandma, Myrtle "Mammie" Turner; and great-grandparents, Bob and Betty Kautz, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Dwight Dunbar officiating. Cremation will follow.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
