Mello was born on December 21, 1927 to Arano & Cecelia (Bausman) Lolwing in Hazel Green, WI. He married the love of his life, Marie M. Wernimont on August 8, 1948 at St. Philomena's Catholic Church in Asbury, IA. Together they managed their farm, along with his carpentry skills, he built many homes in the tri-state area, until his retirement. He was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church for many years. Mel enjoyed fishing, an avid Green Bay Packers & Chicago Cubs fan, playing euchre, dancing at the Melody Mill (where he met his wife), but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
