Mercedes Favorite Lemieux entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the age of 80. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Mercedes was an entrepreneur and a former caregiver. Beloved wife of the late Norman David Lemieux. Loving mother of Bruce David (Raynetta), Kenneth Joseph (Regina), and Tyrone Anthony Lemieux. Grandmother of Bruce Jr., Brian (Jade), Breannah, Kaylien, Kenysha, Kenneth Jr. (Ciera), Candren, Cambron Sr., and Tyrone. Daughter of the late Morris Favorite, II and Lorenza Favorite. Sister of Marion Favorite, Annie Mae Favorite, Gail Perry, Rose F. Wilson, Morris Favorite, III, Clifton Favorite, Sr. and the late Larry Favorite. Niece of Eva Mae Hall and Virginia Williams. Mercedes is also survived by her 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero,LA, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:00 am.
