Merrellen Jencine Harff, age 56 of Dassel, MN passed away peacefully on Sept 14th 2023, with her loving family by her side. A private family service and burial will be held.
Merrellen was born on August 29th, 1967 in Olivia, MN to Delford Ewert and Janette (Thompson) Ewert. She grew up in Buffalo Lake, MN and graduated from Buffalo Lake High School Class of 1986. Merrellen met the love of her life, Derrick Harff and they were married on August 28th, 1992 and made their beautiful country home in Dassel, MN. They had just celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. Merrellen worked at various jobs throughout her life. Her favorite, Carney’s Craft Store in Hutchinson MN, and 17 years at Ecumen Assisted Living Facility in Litchfield, MN. Merrellen had incredible artistic talent; it was seen in everything she did, including her wonderful baking and delicious meals, beautifully decorated home, gorgeous flower gardens and beautiful hand crafted home decor items.
Merrellen was a beautiful person inside and out. She cared so deeply for the people around her. She was so kind and compassionate, and could always find the good in everyone. She made an impact on many lives, and she will forever be missed.
Merrellen is survived by her husband Derrick Harff of Dassel, MN; brother Jayson (Cori) Ewert of Hutchinson, MN, sister Merridell (Michael) Noyes of Annandale, MN and brother Jameson Ewert of Buffalo Lake, MN; father and mother-in-law Don and Shirley Harff of Litchfield, MN; aunt Janean Miller of Warren, MN, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Delford Ewert; mother Janette Ewert; maternal grandparents Orville and Adeline Thompson, and paternal grandparents William and Clara Ewert.
