Michael Bortolussi

Michael Bortolussi, 69, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 20th, surrounded by his loved ones. A lifelong resident of Monte Sereno, Mike lived on the same street his entire life and knew every corner of the city he cherished by heart.

A proud alumnus of Los Gatos High School and Santa Clara University, Mike spent many years of his distinguished career as a test pilot for NASA. In the late 1990s, he transitioned to entrepreneurship, where he founded and operated a successful construction business. Following his retirement in 2016, he and his wife of 19 years, Tammy, traveled extensively around the world and created countless memories together.

An avid outdoorsman, Mike loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends in the Corvette Club. One of his greatest joys was being a godfather to Jaxson, who held a special place in his heart.

Mike was the last of his immediate family and is survived by his devoted wife, many cousins, two nieces, three nephews, beloved godson, and loyal companions, Cooper and Miss Pippa. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, deep love for his family, and the wisdom he imparted to those around him.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church in Los Gatos on Friday, September 5th, at 12:30 p.m., with a private burial immediately following.
