Michael Carvan Obituary
Mr. Carvan, 64, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 19, 2022, in his residence.
He was the owner/operator of "Razorback Lawn Service" and the owner of "Cornbread's Confederate Antique & Novelty Shop." He also worked for the City of Pineville. His passions were riding motorcycles, watching wrestling, and was an avid supporter of the U. S. Veterans. Cornbread was a true Confederate history buff and was very proud of his Southern Heritage. Above all, he always made sure to tell his family how much he loved them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Carvan; and one sister, Patricia Bartell.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his mother, Faye McDaniel of Deville; one brother, John Carvan, and his wife, Deirdre, of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Karen McElroy, and her husband, Keith, of East Providence, Rhode Island, Yvonne Keefe, and her husband, James, of South Hampton, Massachusetts, and Stephanie Burnaman, and her husband, Kent, of Deville; seven nieces and nephews, Mark Means, Zachary Burnaman, Liam Keefe, Caitlin Keefe, Caleb Carvan, Matthew Riggs-Carr, and Shannon Holland; five great nieces and nephews, Brody Burnaman, Kobyn Burnaman, Johnny Krafka, Jessica Krafka, and Clayton Holland; and his great-great nephew, Raedon and great-great niece, Jurnee.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Zachary Burnaman, Liam Keefe, Al Bordelon, Jr., Jared Wilson, Kevin Brough, and Dennis Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be Brody Burnaman and Kobyn Burnaman.
