Michael Earle Cavin was born on May 19, 1948 at Natchez, Mississippi to the union of his parents, the late William Earl Cavin and Frances Evelyn Berryhill Cavin. He passed from this life on Sunday May 11, 2025 at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following an extended illness.
Mr. Cavin loved to Hunt and Fish and loved to play cards. He retired with International Paper Company after thirty-five years of dedicated service. He also retired with the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office. and he served in the United States Armed Services.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his daughter Michelle Brown and his brother, Jerry Cavin.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories is his wife of fifty seven years, Phyllis Cavin; his sons: Patrick Cavin and wife Wanda, and Chris Cavin and wife Denise; his sister Regina Cooper and husband John, sister-in-law: Brenda Cavin who was married to Jerry Cavin and passed away in April; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
Memroial services will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the sanctuary of Rosefield Baptist Church with Dr. Patrick Willis officiating. The Cavin Family will receive visitors beginning at 12:00 PM.
Honoring Mr. Cavin's wishes , the family chose cremation.
