Michael G. Christopherson, 52, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
He was born March 10, 1971 in Beloit, WI, the son of Memorie J. Denson and Norman G. Christopherson. Michael was a 1989 graduate of South Beloit High School.
Michael was employed by Fidia Company as a Field Service Technician and was recently recognized for 20 years of service. Michael's real passion was cars whether it be restoring or repairing them. In September of 2022, he took 1st place at the Beloit Autorama Car Show and also 1st and 3rd place at the Belvidere Mopar Car Show weekend in summer of 2023. He really enjoyed being part of the pit crew for his nephew Jeremy's car at the Rockford Speedway. Michael was always helping others and fixing things. He was a member of the Rock County Rifle and Pistol Club.
Survivors include his father, Norman (Wanda) Christopherson of Roscoe, IL; mother, Memorie Denson of South Beloit, IL; step children, William Cahill, Jessie (Shauna) Cahill, and Levi Cahill; siblings, Christine Christopherson of Beloit, WI, David (Innocencia) Christopherson of Beloit, WI, and Carrie (Dan) Lopez of Lake Geneva, WI; step brother, Michael Hanaver; nephews and nieces, David, Shana and Cara Christopherson, Jeremy (Maria) Bingham and Alexzander (Sandi) Bingham; Josef Botello, Giovanni and Jovianna Lopez; great nieces and great nephews, Veronica, Kai, and Francis; aunts, uncles and cousins; special friend, Cindy Pflueger; and his dog, Savannah.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Gladys Christopherson; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Mildred Denson.
A Funeral service for Michael will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2023 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Chris Eldridge officiating. Visitation of remembrance will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Sunday in the funeral home.
Memorials in his name will be established at a later date.
