Beloved husband of the late Shirley. Dear father of Mark (Nancy) Coffeen and Dawn Brown. Grandfather of Christopher Coffeen. Brother-in-law of Kenneth Luetzow and Roy Luetzow. Brother of the late JoAnn MacKay. Predeceased by parents Albert and Hazel Coffeen.
Mike previously lived in Madison Heights and Sterling Heights. He was a 1955 graduate of Royal Oak High School and attended Hillsdale College where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi. He furthered his education by graduating in 1959 from Wayne State University Department of Mortuary Science. Mike was well known in funeral service, working at Uht Funeral Home in Westland, until 2003, retiring after twenty years of service there. He formerly worked at Schnaidt Funeral Home, Public Funeral Car and Rudy Funeral Home. Mike was a longtime member of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association.
Visitation Sunday 1-4 pm with funeral service 4 pm at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. (4 blks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak. Memorial contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 202 E. 5th St., Royal Oak 48067 are appreciated. Private interment.
