Mike was active in his community and was a member of the Cumberland Moose, Cumberland Outdoor Club, Ridgeley Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Ridgeley American Legion. He really enjoyed playing shuffleboard and horse collar.
Above all else he loved time with his family and especially his grandson Sage, who was the light of his life. He was a very likeable guy, would light up many rooms, and had many friends. He had a passion for smoking meats feeding as many people as he could, and spending time fishing.
