Ellsworth – Michael John Guyettte, the son of Walter E. Guyette and Virginia L. Guyette (Clement), died the night of July 19th. He was surrounded by his wife; children; and loved ones, not at the time of death, but present for his passing into a better life.
Michael was an aspiring author, a lover of concepts; inspirations; and stories, with a few books that will be published posthumously. He was an artist that loved painting Christmas ornaments. An avid amateur inventor and innovator, with many blueprints that may make an appearance in his stories, be on the lookout for his side-sitting, more improved, and better than ever toilet seat. For a living, and as a passion, Michael loved cars. He was a gifted mechanic known for the phrase, "Mikey can fix it," and he was incredible at classic car restoration, with several including a convertible 1941 Ford ; a convertible 1973 Buick centurion; a 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser; and many others, displaying his ability to restore vehicles that people loved, no matter the make.
Michael is survived by his wife: Marinka, children, siblings, nieces and nephews, many loving family members, and friends that may as well have been family. Michael will be missed, but there is comfort in knowing he is going somewhere better than this place. May Michael rest in peace, and his family finds comfort in knowing they will see him again.
The remembrance of Michael Guyette will be on September 12, 2024 between the hours of 1 and 3 pm at the Saint Joseph's church hall in Ellsworth.
