Passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 83 years.
The son of the late Ruth (Jackson) and Basil Harvey was born June 12, 1939 in ­­­­­Saginaw, Michigan. He married Sheila Davenport, July 8, 1978. She survives him. Michael graduated from Saginaw High School and attended Central Michigan University. He proudly served with the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War with the Canine unit in Montana. He was a member of American Legion Post #22 and had served on its honor guard. He was employed as at Tool and Die maker, retiring from General Motors, Saginaw Steering Gear, with 44 years of service. He enjoyed the shooting sports and as a member of the Bridgeport Gun Club as well as several other gun clubs.
Surviving besides his wife, Sheila, are three children and their spouses, Kim and Chuck Luke;
Aaron and Julie Gaudreau; Kerry and Rick Wilbur ; many grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Kenny and Sharon Harvey; Denny and Fran Harvey; several nieces and nephews. A son, Patrick Harvey, has predeceased him.
The funeral service will take place at Noon, Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Kyle Hug will officiate with Military Honors will be conducted by the U. S. Air Force and American Legion Post #22. Cremation will follow. Friends may visit with family from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 and from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral service.
