Michael Edward Howell

Michael Edward Howell went peacefully to meet his Lord and Savior on January 7, 2026. He

was 81 years young. Mike graduated from Istrouma High School in 1962, then went on to marry

his high school sweetheart, Lynda Harms, in 1963. Together, they raised two sons in the City of

Central, where he worked as a home builder for many years before opening his business,

Central Outdoor Power Sales. Mike loved the Lord and his life reflected that. He served as a

Deacon at Zoar Baptist Church and taught a men's Sunday School class for over 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Elmer and Ione Forshag, grandmother Theresa

Gillespie, mother Betty Jo Gillespie, in-laws Harold and Eugenia Harms, and brothers-in-law

Harold "Buster" Harms, Jr. and Warren Holland. His father, Toby Forshag, followed him a short

12 hours later, on January 8, 2026. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lynda Harms

Howell, sons Stephen and Jason Howell and their wives, Suzanne and Maranda, grandchildren

Mathew and Elizabeth Howell, sister Tracy Holland, 3 nieces, 2 great nieces, and 1 great

nephew. Per his wishes, Mike was cremated. No formal services will be held at this time.
