He was a graduate of Manalapan High School, Class of 1979, where he was a member of the Braves football team.
Mike was a lifelong, diehard fan of the New York Jets and the Grateful Dead.
Michael was a manager at Shop Rite of Freehold.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael J. Kane and Barbara Sandstrom Kane Sabroe; and a brother, Kevin Kane.
Surviving are his wife, Eileen Cashman Kane; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Kane and Abdullah Salim; a son, Sean Michael Kane; a brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Patricia Kane; his stepfather, Ralph Sabroe; nephews, Michael and Christopher Kane; and several other nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m.
