Michael John Keaveny passed away unexpectedly May 15th 2025. Michael was born in North Carolina in 1967 to Michael and Marian Keaveny.
Michael attended Appalachian State University and was a member of the university golf team. Before that, he played for Dunwoody High School, where recognitions still remain to this day - he wouldn't let you forget! Michael was proud of his upbringing and his luster for life was endless. During his teenage years, Michael traveled to different locales throughout the world via his father at I.B.M., such as Hong Kong and Thailand (where he loved to tell the story of riding elephants!) In later years he visited Ireland on more than one occasion to visit his familial homeland in Sligo and play all the golf he possibly could. Michael worked numerous successful sales and management positions for national and international brands including Dunlop-Maxfli, Motts, E&J Gallo and School Health Corporation. Most recently, Michael returned to what he loved; working in the golf industry. In teaching youth golfers during summer camps and after school programs, he gave his passion for golf to the younger generations - always hoping to one day see the kids he taught winning the Masters! For many years, Michael worked at Cherokee Town & Country Club and will be remembered by hundreds of members and friends there for his quick wit, friendship and dedication to the game. Michael is predeceased by his father, Michael, and brother, Bryan. He is survived by his Mother, Marian, and his much loved daughter Katie. Michael will be deeply missed by his colleagues, friends, and family. May he rest in peace in eternity.
