Michael Scott MacConnell, 75, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Coral Gables, Florida on March 18, 1949, to the late John Richard and Jeanne (Pratt) (MacConnell) Hill. He is also preceded in death by his brother, John M. MacConnell and stepfather, R. Herbert Hill.
On March 20, 1970, he married Theresa (O’Donnell) MacConnell, and she survives in Bellefontaine.
He is also survived by his son, Scott (Angie) MacConnell of Sidney, Ohio; grandson, Andrew (Christy) MacConnell of Bellefontaine, Ohio; great grandchildren: Audrey and Drake MacConnell; and siblings: Robert MacConnell of Grove City, Ohio, Douglas MacConnell of Columbus, Ohio and Patricia Milam of Lakeland, Florida.
Michael was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, English football, and drag racing. In his free time, he found joy in fishing and playing pool. In his early years he enjoyed swimming.
It was Michael’s wish to be cremated and there will be a celebration of life held at Michael and Theresa’s home, 2830 County Road 29, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311 from 3:00 to 5:00 on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
