Michael Martin Obituary
BEVERLY – Mr. Michael G. Martin 68 of Beverly, died unexpectedly, December 31st, 2023 at his home following a medical incident.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late George Anthony and Rose Rita (Morin) Martin. He was raised and educated in Middleton and was a graduate of Masconomet Regional High School. He continued his education at North Shore Community College earning his Associates Degree.
Mr. Martin began his professional career in health care. He matriculated to working for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. He was associated with the USPS for many years. As a letter carrier, he delivered mail in many communities including Marblehead, Beverly and Boston until the time of his retirement. Later in life, he worked as a Range Safety Supervisor at Bradford Gun Club.
A long-time resident of the City of Beverly and the town of Middleton, Mike was truly a unique man. He was devoted to his family and took especially great care of his mother during her later years. He loved to spend his time out of doors. He was an avid and patient fisherman and enjoyed target shooting. He was a loving brother and uncle who will be deeply missed.
Mike is survived by his brother, Anthony Wheelock and his wife, Mary of Bradford, his nephew, Matthew Wheelock and his wife, Rebecca of Tilton, NH and his great nephews, Colby and Connor Wheelcock.
