Mike graduated from Corning Union High School in 1969 and served in the Army National Guard from 1971-1977. He graduated from CSU, Chico in 1974. In 1975 he married Nanette Arbogast in Orland, California. Mike had three other marriages: to Christina Gunsauls (1985); to Linda Locamini Henson (1993); and to Ginger Tate (2009.) Mike operated Metzger Painting in the 1980's. He then became a massage therapist, instructor and owner of Chico Therapy Wellness Center from 1989-2019.
Mike is survived by his son Matthew Vader (Julie) and grandchildren Treven, Katie, Zane, Malachi and Avigail Vader. He is also survived by two brothers Steven and Robert Metzger.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, October 24. 9:00 am at Calvary Chapel Church, 1888 Springfield Dr, Chico..
