Michael H. Morrow

Michael Henry Morrow, age 48, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 19, 2025 in a tragic plane crash in Trilla, IL.
Mike was born July 27, 1976, in River Falls, Wisconsin and grew up in Menomonie. He graduated from Menomonie High School in 1995. Being a talented football player, Mike was recruited by many Big Ten Schools but wanted to be a Cornhusker and decided to attend the University of Nebraska -Lincoln.
After his time in Nebraska, Mikey came home and worked for the Great City of Menomonie for 28 years! Through those years, Mike created another family with countless memories.
On August 12, 2022, Mike finally settled down, and married Courtney Fregine. With family as their priority, Mike and Courtney raised 3 children, Cayden, Caeleigh, and McKinley with all the love they had.
Mike also loved the Green Bay Packers, of course, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and fishing especially on Lower Turtle Lake and Lake Menomin.
His smile, laughter and shenanigans will truly be missed by all who loved and knew him. Menomonie will not be the same without Mike Morrow.
Mike is survived by his daughter McKinley, step children Cayden and Caeleigh, his mother Betty Mckahan Cran, father Tom (Pumsri) Morrow, brother Chad (Jodi) Morrow, nieces Makayla & Taylor "God child" Morrow, nephew, Maxwell Morrow from Savage MN; aunt Renee Jilek "God mother"; uncles Gene (Cindy) Mckahan from River Falls, WI, Dan (Sheila) Morrow from St Paul, MN; cousins Todd (Andrea) Jilek from Clear Lake, WI, Craig (Debbie) Jilek from Hudson, WI, Amanda (Eric) Guler from Pelican Rapids MN, Adam (Karen) McKahan from Roseville, CA, Heidi (Dave) Olson from Osceola, WI, Jeff (Megan) Hesselmen from Eau Claire, WI, Bailie (Dan) Leonard from St Paul, MN, Tyler Morrow from Dresser, WI, Kaleb (Paige) Morrow from Bismarck, ND as well as other relatives and countless friends who were family to Mike.
Mike and his wife, Courtney, died together in the plane crash.
He was preceded in death by Grandpa Myron, Grandpa Henry McKahan, Grandma Betty Morrow, Uncle Joe Jilek, and Aunt Ginny Brenna.
You are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Life in honor of Mike and Courtney Morrow on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fanetti Community Center/ Dunn County Ice Arena, 620 17th St. SE, Menomonie, WI. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in their honor.
