Michael Alexander Peterson, known as Mike to his friends and family, passed away on August 8, 2024, at the age of 48. Born on January 9, 1976, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, he was the cherished son of Jeffrey Peterson and Cynthia Marie (Domanski) Brillhart. Mike's warm presence and selfless nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
Mike's life was a testament to the love he had for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Aundrea of 21 years, and their children, Yvette (Eric) Henn of Kimball Township, Michael (Gabby Gartner) Peterson Jr. of Kimball Township, Lexie Harris of Grand Blanc, and Alexander Peterson of Kimball Township. His joy was multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren, Bailey, Blake, and Willow, who will miss their grandfather's playful spirit and boundless affection. Mike also leaves behind his father, Jeffrey Peterson of Casco; his mother, Cynthia (Kerry) Brillhart of China Township; his sisters, Crystal (Erik) Beagle of Casco and Angela (Chris) Jokoty Peterson of St. Clair; his brother, DJ Sexton; and his adored nieces and nephews, David (CeCe) Beagle, Jacob Beagle, Taylor Beagle, Alexis Jokoty, Jason Jokoty, and Lydia Jokoty. His extended family and a multitude of friends will forever cherish the memories they created with Mike.
Professionally, Mike dedicated many years to Clutch Carpentry as a rough carpenter. His skillful hands and creative mind could build anything, and he took pride in his craft. Mike's colleagues knew him as a man who could be relied upon, a worker who brought not just his talent but also his heart to every project. His work was not just a job but a canvas where he expressed his passion for creating and fixing, leaving a legacy of structures that stand as a testament to his talent.
Mike's interests were as vast as the great outdoors he loved so much. An avid fisherman and hunter, he found peace and contentment in the quiet moments by the water or in the woods. He was a master of leisurely pastimes, from playing horseshoes to ladderball, and he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, teaching them the joys of being outdoors. Mike's love for ice fishing was only matched by his enthusiasm for family bonfires and camping trips, where stories and laughter would fill the air long into the night.
Those who knew Mike would describe him as a man who was the epitome of selflessness, love, and handiness. He had a pocket full of sunshine that he shared generously, brightening the days of everyone he encountered. His ability to fix and build was not limited to carpentry; he also had a knack for mending hearts and lifting spirits. Mike's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness.
As we bid farewell to Michael Alexander Peterson, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. His memory will live on in the structures he built, the memories he crafted, and the love he shared. Mike's story does not end here, for he has built a bridge to eternity with the love and laughter he left behind. His journey continues in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family and friends. Mike's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of devotion, joy, and the simple pleasures that make life worth living. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will endure, a testament to a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
