Michael C. Rende passed away in his home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was born on July 15,1941 to Carmine and Lena Rende. Mike worked all his life in carpentry beginning in the Carpenter's Union Local 323 in Beacon, NY, also working for the family business, Anel Builders, where they built many homes in the area. Mike built his own home in 1966 where he stayed for 59 years. In 1969 he was very proud to have worked on the film Hello Dolly and even met Barbra Streisand and Gene Kelly. He went on to owning his own business, Rencio Builders with his cousin Phil Cicio.
Mike loved his family more than anything in the world and had a heart of gold. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his children and grandchildren. His quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor always kept everyone laughing. Mike's love for music stems over decades right up until his last days. He was an amazing artist, no matter if it was a quick pencil drawing on a scrap paper or a painting on canvas. He will forever be missed on Super Bowl Sunday by his daughter Dawn and son in law Todd. Mike was known as "The Mayor" of Paesano's Bakery in Fishkill, you could find him there every morning. He and Eileen enjoyed taking road trips to many different destinations. Mike loved working with his son Justen on many construction jobs and it made him proud that his son followed in his footsteps.
Mike is survived by his wife Eileen. His children, Dawn (Todd) Perri, Michael Rende, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Rende, Justen (Elizabeth) Rende, Lauren (Vinny) Rende, stepchildren Michael (Judy) Corigliano, Daniel (Lisa) Corigliano, Rosemary (Paul) Corigliano. His grandchildren, Brandy (Joseph) Stossel, Jay (John) Herbert, Michaela Herbert, Hannah (Nick) Boykin, Jeffrey Rende, Brodey and Gianni Rende, Anthony and Annalessia Russo, Theresa (Roy) Mantz, Isabella Corigliano, Jackie (Cory) Arnold, Daniel Corigliano Jr and Bailey Corigliano. His great grandchildren Toby and Hope Black, Emmalia Stossel, Lily, Henry and Mia Mantz, Eliza Arnold. His siblings, Carmine (Claire) Rende and Rosalie (Ricky) Van Steenburgh. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street,
Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 108 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
