Michael "Mike" A. Revelette died unexpectedly in Avondale Estates, Georgia, on May 3, 2025. He was the second of four boys born to the late William and Mary Revelette (Woods) in Louisville, Kentucky. After growing up surrounded by extended family in Louisville, Mike lived in various cities outside Kentucky after graduating from Bellarmine University. He later returned to Louisville to care for his mother until her passing. Most of his career was spent working for Lockheed Martin. In his later years, Mike moved to the Atlanta area to be closer to his grandchildren, where he built a life filled with quiet generosity, unwavering support, and love.
Although Mike did not have biological children, he was a father in every sense that genuinely matters. He embraced this role for Marco Garcia, whom he supported as a teenager with compassion and dedication, becoming a steady and guiding presence in his life. In his later years, Mike wholeheartedly embraced the role of grandfather to Mara, Elias, and Caleb, considering it his most incredible honor. After retiring last year, he often spent his days driving them to practices and school events or simply enjoying their company. He took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments. Mike was affectionately known as "Grandpa Mike" by his grandchildren, the neighbors, and the children on their street.
Mike leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by numerous extended family members in Kentucky and beyond, his chosen son, Marco Garcia, and his cherished grandchildren, Mara, Elias, and Caleb. He is also remembered fondly by many friends and extended family who were touched by his kindness and unwavering support.
Instead of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Al-Anon, an organization close to Mike's heart.
