Michael P. Roob, 73, of Fremont, died Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his residence. He was born May 22, 1950 in Fremont the son of Gerard A. and Jean D. (Fowler) Roob.
Michael was a Police Officer for Fremont Police Department and a founding member of their Tactical Response Team. He also taught Law Enforcement at Terra State College. Mike enjoyed hunting, riflery and fishing. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving is his wife Margaret Capucini of Fremont; daughter Lea Ann Wilson; sons Cole and Tony; granddaughters Madison Wilson, Abbie and Allie Roob; brothers Rick and Dave. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Cora.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 4-7P.M. at Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 North Street, Fremont, OH, where Vigil services will begin at 6:45P.M. with F.O.P. services to follow. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fr. Matthew Frisbee will officate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Terra State Scholarships or American Heart Association. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermanfh.com
