Michael J. Shaughnessy

Michael J. Shaughnessy, 77, of Greenwood, In. passed away on July 13th, 2025, with his loving wife, Wanda, by his side. Mike was born on November 10, 1947, in Indianapolis, In., to the late, Quintin and Patricia (White) Shaughnessy. He was one of four children.
Mike graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, in Indianapolis. He was a proud veteran, having served his country, in the Army. He was also proud of being an Irishman and had a "dry desert wit".
He was a loving father to his daughter, Jody, and husband to his wife, Wanda. They spent most of their 56 years together – loving and living life. If you saw one of them, you most likely saw the other. They welcomed their daughter in November, of 1976.
Mike worked in can manufacturing, for 27 years; beginning at Stokley Van Camp and then working as a sales representative, for Keystone/LKQ. He retired in 2011.
He was an avid hot rodder, he took great joy in owning several hot rods; especially, his last car, a '32 Ford roadster. He was a member of the Cluster Buster's Hot Rod Club, for 45 years. Mike loved to attend car shows, travel with his family, and listen to the blues.
Mike is survived by his wife, of 56 years, Wanda, of Greenwood; and daughter, Jody (Jason) Corbin, of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Quintin and Patricia, and his brother, John Shaughnessy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, located at 335 South Meridian Street Greenwood, IN 46143, sometime mid-August. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home & Simple Cremation, Whiteland Chapel, 729 N. U.S. Hwy. 31, Whiteland, In. 46184
