Mike Smith, age 68 and a lifetime resident of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly at Lutheran Hospital on March 17, 2023.    Born Michael L. Smith on October 16, 1954, Mike was the son of Buddy L. and Ellen R. (Perceful) Smith. He attended school in Warsaw and worked for Big Boy Products, Clausing Manufacturing and others in his younger years. He spent many years at JP Machining before retiring.    More personally, Mike is remembered for his kindness and as a real-life teddy bear. He rarely knew a stranger and made friends with almost anyone. He was laid back and easygoing with a good sense of humor. He liked Corvettes and working on anything with an engine or motor.    Those who survive to share his story include wife, Brenda Smith of Warsaw; sons Lance Smith of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Brian Smith of Valparaiso; granddaughter, Lana Smith of Hanover, PA and two brothers, Brett (Jody) Smith and Terry (JoEllen) Smith both of Warsaw. In addition he is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.    Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with Mike's care. The family is grieving privately with no services planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials could be directed to Titus Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses and medical bills. Written condolences can be left at www.TitusFuneralHome.com
