Michael V. Steep, 49, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 30, 1973 to Ronald and Alice (Howard) Steep. He graduated from Lake High School and would work as a construction material tester for many companies before landing with the Mannick & Smith Group. Mike enjoyed the challenge of working with the different materials and also the companionship with his co-workers. What Mike cherished most was spending time with his children who will miss him so much. He was an avid Lions and University of Michigan fan. He went above and beyond when it came to volunteering while being cub scout leader for 5 years, and he was the best Santa Claus that pack 209 was lucky enough to have. Mike was soon to marry the love of his life, Jen Kurt Grafitti and treated her children like his own. As tough as Mike often pretended to be on the outside, he was a softy on the inside and always went above and beyond to take care of those he loved.
Mike is survived by his children, Brody and Alexa Steep; fiancé, Jennifer Kurt Grafitti; brother, Ross (Stephanie) Steep; nephew, Luke Steep; and mother of Brody and Alexa, Trina VonLehmden-Steep; half siblings, Rhonda, Paul and Patrick Costello. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends at Mainstreet Church, 5465 Moline-Martin Rd, Walbridge, OH 43465, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. The family asks expressions of sympathy in Mike's name be directed to his children's fund at 5/3 Bank, Dixie Highway Branch, 26521 N. Dixie Hwy. Perrysburg, OH 43551.

He made my sister feel loved, with no conditions. He loved her for her. And he made her kids, my nephew and nieces feel valued and seen.
