Michael James Styles, Jr., 76, of
Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away on October 20, 2025.
Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Anthony Catholic Church on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12 pm with military honors prior to the mass.
Mike was born to Virginia Lee Broadhurst and Michael James Styles Sr. on July 23, 1949, in Washington, DC. He moved to Fort Lauderdale at age 13 and attended Cardinal Gibbons High School before being drafted into service. Mike served proudly in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1971 to 1972. He married his wife, Pat, on May 17, 1975. They moved to Tallahassee, FL where he attended Florida State University and was a brother in the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Mike was an avid Seminoles fan for life. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, worked as an attorney for 42 years and was heavily involved in the Saint Thomas More Society for Catholic lawyers. He contributed to various areas of his community, including Saint Anthony Catholic Church and School, Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, the Youth Automotive Training Center, and various legal associations.
Mike is preceded in death by his mother Virginia and his father Michael.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years: Pat, his children: Tim Styles and Emalie Schneider, along with their spouses Katie Styles and Jeff Schneider, his brothers: Chip and Matt Campbell, his grandchildren: Milo and Violet Styles (aged 4 years and 7 months respectively), and Wilder Schneider (aged 8 months), and Maria Downs, who has been a treasured part of the family for near 40 years. He is also survived by his very special four-legged children, Gibbs and Abby.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's name may be made to The Saint Thomas More Society (redmass.com) or the Seminole Boosters.
