Michael D. Voegele, "Mike" born on the 4th of April 1949, was a courageous and spirited soul who danced to the rhythm of his own beat. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mike was a man of undeniable talent and unyielding reliability. Mike touched the lives of those around him with his strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Despite facing the challenges of his illness, he remained a beacon of hope and inspiration to those who knew him before passing away peacefully on December 31, 2024.
Mike was not just a retired plumber with a knack for fixing things. He was a master of his craft, providing 44 years of service in the construction industry before retiring in 2013. Beyond his work, he was an enthusiastic golfer who loved to go to John F. Byrne golf course and Burholme driving range any chance he got. Other hobbies included his must have morning WAWA coffee, newspaper, crosswords and reading books. Mike was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. You would often find him watching the Phillies, Eagles and Penn State games with his sister, Patty and brother-in-law, Hank. Those days brought him so much joy.
Michael is survived and missed by his children: Eric (Chrissy), Michael (Gwen) and Cynthia (Vinny). Forever cherished and remembered by his six grandchildren: Kyle, Madison, Vincent, Michael, Lorelei, and Harley. Siblings and their families: Thomas & Patty, Kathy & Edward, Patricia & Henry, John, and Daniel & Terry. His memory also lives on through his nieces, nephews, friends, and all those who loved him.
Services will be private at the request of his family.
As we say farewell to Mike, let us celebrate his life and the beautiful memories he shared with us. We invite you to share your memories and upload photos to the memorial page. Let us remember Michael as the courageous, spirited, and dependable soul he was, and let his legacy continue to inspire us every day.
