Michelle M. (Bevilacqua) Choate, 55, of Plymouth MA died following a brief illness on June 29, 2024.
Michelle was born and raised in Quincy, graduating from Quincy High School in 1986. She attended Wheaton College where she studied English and Creative Writing and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1990. Michelle's love of language led her through a career of writing and editing starting at Bob Adams, Inc., where she met the love of her life, to the academic community, notably Emmanuel College and MIT, to eventually owning and operating Choate Creative.
Michelle is survived by her husband Jon Choate, parents Ralph C and Patricia A. (Cocio) Bevilacqua, brother Ralph Bevilacqua Jr (aka The Favorite) and his wife Julie (Benjamin) Bevilacqua, niece Grace Bevilacqua, nephew Daniel Bevilacqua, brother-in-law David "Skip" Choate and wife Betty (Cerilli) Choate, niece Heidi Choate, brother-in-law Tobey Choate, wife Mary Ann (Pesce) Choate, nephew Sam Choate and his wife Josie (Jones) Choate, great nephew Sonny and nephew Harrison Choate. She's also survived by her god-son Joseph Doyle.
Michelle was pre-deceased by her radiant step daughter, Jessica, who we know greeted her with open arms and a deeply missed embrace.
Outside of her career, Michelle was passionate about her family and friends, often fostering decades long relationships with people living all over the country. She was a super fan of her niece and nephews and never missed an opportunity to cheer at a concert, game, ice show or any other occasion to show her pride. Michelle was also an avid animal lover rescuing German Shepard dogs and several cats. Her animals were treated as royalty.
Michelle loved to travel and made many memories exploring the world with friends and family.
Visiting hours will be at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court St, North Plymouth (near Cordage Park) on Wednesday, July 10th from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 11th at 10:30 am at St Peter's Church at 86 Court Street, Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michelle's name may be made to the ASCPA or German Shepherd Rescue of New England, gsrne.org.
