Michelle Andrea Waggoner, age 57 of Gruetli-Lager, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 8, 1967. She retired from HSBC, where she had been employed for the majority of her career in the bank technology field. Michelle enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. Whether it was being a devoted wife to her late husband, Derrick, making memories with her nephew and niece, Kenneth and Gracie, or spending time with her four-legged best friends, Sunshine, Ozzy, Lemmie, and Blackie, Michelle lived life to the fullest. Her kind and loving, as well as humorous personality, will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Siegfried Preikschat; husband, Derrick Waggoner; and father and mother-in-law, Charles and Polly Waggoner. Michelle is survived by her loving mother, Darlene Preikschat; siblings, Lisa Lee, and Irma Preikschat (Josefine Parker); nephew, Kenneth Ludvigsen; niece, Graciela Ludvigsen; brother-in-law, Rick (Debbie) Waggoner; and sister-in-law, Joy Scott. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Walnut Grove Cemetery, with family and friends leaving Moore-Cortner Funeral Home at 10:40 am.
