Mike Sloan

Frankfort – Michael Albert "Mike" Sloan, age 70, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Rayborn officiating. A private committal service will be observed. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mike was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky on March 4, 1955, to the late James Albert Sloan and Billie Rose Waford Sloan. He was the owner and operator of Mike's Gun Store & Archery where he truly enjoyed spending time with friends at the store. Mike loved being on the farm in Shelby County. He is survived by his son, Michael Sloan (Tabitha); daughters, Janene Jones (Roy) and Devin Sloan (Greg); sister, Cindy Morgan (Frank); brothers, Roger Sloan, Jerry Sloan (Connie) and Jeff Sloan (Linda); thirteen grandchildren, Destiny, Dakota, Jordyn, Brooklyn, Charity, Heaven, Giaonni, Makayla, Javon, James Michael, Micayla, Trevor, and Ana; five great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Hadlee, Shiloh, Gunner, and Steyr; and by several nieces and nephews. He is also blessed with his beloved dog, Lucy Lou. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Larae Carol Neal Sloan, and great-grandson, Dylan. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Bruce, Eddie Slattery, Bo Flynn, David Watts, and Blane Artripe. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Oldham County Humane Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
