IN LOVING MEMORY OF JAN BOS
December 24, 1948 – September 29, 2025
Jan Bos, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law and cherished friend, passed away on September 29, 2025. She will be remembered for her deep love for family, and the many passions that brought joy and meaning to her life. Her grandchildren were the sparkle in her eyes - whether she was cheering them on, sharing stories, or simply spending time with them, every moment was treasured.
Jan had a vibrant, competitive edge, most notably displayed on the tennis court. A formidable presence at the Sandestin Tennis Club, she was known as a tenacious player who rarely lost and never gave up easily. She loved friendly rivalry, especially in games. Rummikub matches with her grandchildren were legendary - marked by laughter, learning, and just the right amount of ruthlessness. In recent years, Bridge became her game of choice, played often with dear friends.
Her sense of style was impeccable, a reflection of her early years as a model and her lifelong love of fashion. She carried herself with effortless elegance, which remained with her throughout every season of her life.
Jan was also a woman of intellect and adventure. She pursued her education with distinction, completing a variety of college courses with highest honors. Over the years, she held her real estate license, served as an office manager, and ultimately spent seventeen years flying the friendly skies as a flight attendant - a role that combined her love for travel with her gift for connection. Along the way, she cultivated many lasting friendships, which she deeply valued.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and grace.
Jan is lovingly welcomed into Heaven by her beloved daughter, Leah Spayde. She is survived by her children, Lindsey Lynch (husband, Sean Lynch), Christopher Bos, Rik Bos, and her goddaughter, Angela Chanter. She was a proud grandmother to Lauren and Anna Spayde (children's father, David Spayde), Noah and Luke Lynch, Jenaveve Bos, and Claire, Zach, and Cole Chanter. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Buehn and Bernice Milliman (husband, Jake Milliman); brothers, Bob Siperko (Tu Sun Siperko) and Rick Siperko; as well as nieces and nephews, including Derek Brendel, and Laura Peden (husband, Scott Peden), DeeDee Wentland (husband, Kurt Wentland), Nicole Oleson (husband, Robert Oleson), and Dennis Milliman.
A previous marriage blossomed into a beautiful extended family. The respect and friendship shared between Peter and Terri Bos and Jan has remained a longstanding truth - a testament to enduring love, mutual support, and grace.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Destiny Worship Center (Destin Campus Chapel). A reception will follow from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at The Emerald Grande.

We rejoice in the promise that she is now at Peace in the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ, and we find comfort in knowing that we will one day be reunited with her in the fullness of God's eternal Grace.
