Mildred I. Berry
Mildred I. Berry, 85, of Ridgeville, IN, passed away Thursday, October 24th, 2024, unexpectedly at her residence. Mildred was born in Mt. Vernon, KY, on December 10, 1938, a daughter of the late Ella Mae Gray-Bryant and Granville Proctor. She was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and the loving wife of the late Russell M. Berry who she happily married on December 21, 1957, and sadly lost on January 17, 2021. Mildred was a hardworking woman who dedicated her life to caring for other's and God's creation through home care, housekeeping, and horticulture. She loved flowers, hummingbirds, honeybees and all things in nature. Mildred also enjoyed Elvis, The California Raisins, I Love Lucy, Bewitched, Mama's Family, cooking, baking, ice cream, collecting jewelry and riding her 3 wheeled bike through her favorite route in Ridgeville. She is survived by 2 sons; Dale Marion Berry (Luella), Charles William Berry, 2 grandchildren; Tracie and Tiara, 5 great grandchildren; Camren, Camille, Alison, Buddy, Donna, 3 step grandchildren; Elizabeth, Heidi, Patrick, 2 sisters; Jean and Joyce and several nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell,7 siblings, Joe, Dorothy, Charles, Mabel, Albert, Rosie, and Doris. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 1st, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Lawndale Cemetery in Ridgeville, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Ridgeville Chapel.
