Mildred Venator

Mildred Venator, 92 of Oskaloosa and formerly of Ottumwa and New Sharon, passed away on her 92nd birthday Sunday morning, August 18, 2024 at the Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa. A Celebration will be held at a later date and burial will be held in the Highland Cemetery in Eddyville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may made to the family and may be sent to Holland-Coble Funeral Home; In Care of Mildred Venator; P.O. Box 85; New Sharon, Iowa 50207. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.
Mildred Marie (Brown) Venator was born on August 18, 1932 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Maggie Brown and three brothers, Junior, Bob and Howard. She was a loving parent to four children, Rhonda (Paul) Brenneman, Wanda (Doug) Farnsworth, Deana (Barry) DeJong and her son, Donald Venator. Millie spent her life as a farmer's wife and daughter. She also worked at Graham's Department Store, Parkview Plaza and retired from Ottumwa Hospital in 2001. In retirement, she spent her life enjoying her grandchildren, Amber, Dana, Mallory, Jaylin, Milan, Jevan, Maci and Sophie. She recently had four great grandchildren, Vinny, Navy, Rhys and Juni. Millie also had a love of music, dancing, traveling, Hallmark Movies and the Young and the Restless.
Rest in Peace mom knowing new things are going on in our lives but we will miss you forever.
