Mirsad Ceric passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1947, in the former Yugoslavia. For many years he lived in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina where he worked as a civil engineer in charge of the city Sarajevo Public Works.
In 1991 he came with his wife and son to the United States and worked in Urbana-Champaign (IL), West Palm Beach and St. Augustine (FL). After retiring in 2014 from St. Johns Co. Health Department where he worked for 20 years, he enjoyed traveling to all parts of the world, cooking and having a great meal, wine tasting, and visiting with family and friends.
He was a wonderful husband and father who loved his family more than anything else. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years Aisa, son Zlatan, sister Zinka, and brother Goran, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Those who knew Mirsad will remember his warm personality, quick wit, and the genuine care he offered to those around him. He brought joy and steadiness into every space he entered, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mirsad may be donated to Alzheimer's Disease Research.
There will be a Celebration of Life later.

I briefly helped Mirsad as him HHA. I enjoyed getting him outside so he could take in the scenery and to look at all he and Aisa's flowering bushes. I miss him very much, he was a wonderful gent.
