Morris Westmoreland Durham, Jr., 94, of Easley, loving husband of Billie Alexander Durham, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at his home.

Born on June 6, 1929, in Greer, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Morris Westmoreland Durham Sr. and Madgie Rhymer Durham. Morris was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was very involved in his church, Solid Rock Baptist Church, where for many years he played his guitar and sang. He also was chairman of the deacons. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing. Morris proudly served his country in the US Army in the Korean War.

In addition to his wife of 73 years, he is survived by four sons, Dennis Durham (Robin), Donald Durham, (Lynn), Randall Durham (Sherry), and Terry Durham; two daughters, Rita Hawthorne (Alan), and Brenda Fincher (Steve); a nephew, Roy Parham, Jr.; two nieces, Norma Sue Strader, and Linda Pinion; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Furman Durham; and two sisters, Mae Parham, and Bernice Durham.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 402 Blackberry Valley Road, Greenville, South Carolina, 29617. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow the funeral service at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Solid Rock Baptist Church, 402 Blackberry Valley Road, Greenville, South Carolina, 29617.
