Age 90
Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. James Thomas Hudson, Sr. Mr. Hudson passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, in Tuscaloosa, AL.
James Thomas Hudson, Sr., age 90, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 10, 2025.
James Thomas Hudson, Sr., was a longtime deacon at Carroll’s Creek Baptist Church. He was also a Boy Scout Master for many years. He enjoyed collecting almost everything including coins, stamps, guns, antiques and cars. Later in life he was a member of Five Points Baptist Church for many years.
James was preceded in death by his wife who was the love of his life and mother to their four (4) children, Bonnie Smelley Hudson; son, James (Tommy) Thomas Hudson, Jr.; daughter, Susan Diane New; parents, Leland Ware Hudson and Ethel M. Chewning Hudson; and his sisters, Marie Frost, Hazel Wigley, Gladys Gibson and Virginia Hardin.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, John L. Hudson (Julie) and Ross T. Hudson (Sherrie); one daughter-in-law, Jenny Hudson; grandchildren, Todd Hudson (Joni); Tyler Hudson (Kensey); Heath Hudson (Robyn); Hunter Hudson (Callie); Brady Hudson; Blaine Hudson; Michelle Helton; Loren Enslen (Jeremy); and Jessica Matthews.
Pallbearers are Todd, Tyler, Heath, Hunter, Brady and Blaine.
Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional service has been entrusted to the hands and care of the Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Professional Team.
