Mrs. Mary Fry Dugas, age 94, of Winder, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at The Landing of Winder.
Mary dedicated her life to her family and was known for her unwavering love as a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was the Matriarch of five generations.
She was a devoted member of St. Matthews Catholic Church, where she found a strong sense of community and faith. Her commitment to her beliefs was evident in the kindness she extended to those around her.
Mary had a deep passion for animals often spending time caring and providing for them. She also had a love for traveling. Mary found joy in being on the water with her family and friends.
Mrs. Dugas was preceded in death by her parents, Connie Hubert Fry and Rosezetta Fry; and siblings, Wayne Fry, Sr., Troy Fry, Mildred Williams, and Betty Jo Fry.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Warren Joseph Dugas of Winder; son, James A. (Carol) Ball of Dunwoody; stepson, Mickey B. Dugas of Cincinnati, OH; stepdaughter, Deborah D. Sellers of Memphis, TN; sister, Ruth Cates of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Robert A. Ball of Griffin and Mary Ellen Smith of Statham; step-grandchild, Joey Sellers of CA; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Matthews Catholic Church.
The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
Maddox-Carter Memorial Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.
