Muriel J. Feder

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Muriel J Feder(Trueper), left this world for her heavenly home on
October 8, 2025, at the age of 96.
She is survived by her daughter Ellen Viau and her husband Steven of Lake Worth, granddaughter Victoria, niece Evelyn Pizzolato, Raleigh, NC and great nieces Sarah and Susan, Durham, NC.
Born on July 30, 1929 to German immigrants Herman and Mary Trueper, Muriel brought a touch of her German heritage to her whole life, celebrating German festivals, collecting Hummels and sharing German foods. Before she got married, she traveled to Europe and then began working as a church secretary at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in New York. She married George Feder on April 19, 1958. They lived in Westwood, NJ, for about 6 years, when they were blessed with one daughter, Ellen. It wasn't long before cold winters gave way to the temptation of sunny, South Florida where Muriel began working at Advent Lutheran Church under Pastor Ronald Dingle. The job proved to be quite a blessing because it was there that she developed deep friendships that would carry her through the loss of her husband in 1977.
Over the years, Muriel traveled extensively, including the Holy Land and a few cruises. In her retirement years she loved going to the pool and playing cards and cheering for the Miami Dolphins. If you knew Muriel, you knew she never met a stranger that did not become a friend, and that she could talk to anyone about anything. However, her favorite topic – by far – was her granddaughter Victoria.
A Celebration of Muriel's Life will be held on Tuesday, October 21st from 5:00-7:00 pm at Del Lago Chapel, 131 S. Lakeside Drive, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33432..
We kindly ask attendees to wear blue or yellow and a hat, as she was known for always wearing hats at parties at the pool and many church occasions.
