Myrna Jean Larrabee, age 86, of Ellsworth, passed away peacefully at her home on April 24, 2025. She was born on January 4, 1939, in Cady Township near rural Spring Valley, Wisconsin, to Willard and Thelma (Brathol) Albertson.

Myrna graduated from River Falls High School with the Class of 1957, and went on to attend beauty school in Madison. On July 25, 1959, she married the love of her life, Larry Larrabee, at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls. Together, they were blessed with four children: Lori, Debbie, Allan, and Jason.

A devoted Christian, Myrna’s faith was central to her life. She loved attending church and watching worship services on TV, joyfully singing to Jesus, as she would say. Myrna loved being outside working in her gardens amongst the flowers. Myrna loved to spend time in her stain glass studio creating beautiful pieces of art.

Myrna owned a beauty shop from her home for many years, allowing her to be present for her family. She was active in her community, serving as a board member for the Pierce-Pepin Co-op and the Ellsworth Village Board. She also helped establish the Chestnut Birthday Club, where neighbors on Chestnut Street gathered monthly to celebrate birthdays.

Known for her class, spirit, and love for her family, Myrna was a woman of strength and warmth. She had a special way of making those around her feel loved and valued.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Larry; her children: Lori Larrabee, Debbie (Scott) Feuerhelm, Allan Larrabee, Jason (Kristi) Larrabee; grandchildren: Analicia Frandrup, Shawn Frandrup, Brandon (Samantha) Frandrup, Tiffany (Paris) Rosen, Brady (Matt) Feuerhelm, and Caden Larrabee; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Thelma Albertson, brother, Gary Albertson and niece, Abby Bergeson.

A funeral service for Myrna will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at English Lutheran Church, 229 West Main Street, Ellsworth, WI. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service.
