Myron Wiese

Myron I. Wiese, 87, formerly of Pecatonica, IL died peacefully at Burnett Medical Continuing Care Center, Grantsburg, WI on Saturday, May 31, 2025. He was born July 12, 1937 in Plover, WI the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin and Lorna (Yokers) Wiese. Myron graduated from Pecatonica High School in the Class of 1955. He married the love of his life Karen A. Swanstrom in the First Lutheran Church in Pecatonica, IL on September 21, 1957.
Myron worked at Hilbert Implement as a mechanic in Pecatonica, IL. He then worked as a diesel mechanic at Rockford Truck, and Caterpillar in Rockford, IL. In 1992, he opened his own Rebuild and Machine shop in Pecatonica, IL until he retired after 20 plus years. Myron served in the Navy Reserves from 1955 and was honorably discharged in March of 1963. He enjoyed working on engines, NASCAR racing, road trips and most importantly time with family. He is survived by his children: daughters Holly (Patrick) Suddarth, Laura (Rick) Beedle; son Tracy Wiese (Julie Cyra); daughter Katrina (Kevin) Swezey; grandchildren Brandon (Heather) Harker, Meridith (Kyle) Bergquist, Catlin Wiese, Austin (Rachel) Mackey, Seth (Jenna) Mackey, Abby Beedle (Brett Pederson), Gabrielle Beedle, and Sloan Schiro; 10 great grandchildren; Brother Ronald Wiese; several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Karen Wiese and his parents Irwin and Lorna Wiese.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at McCorkle Funeral Home - Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W. Fifth Street, Pecatonica, IL with Pastor Nord Swanstrom of First Lutheran Church officiating. Cremation Rites were Accorded. Final Resting Place to be Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service, Saturday at the funeral home.
