Nanci Magill Totah died on May 6, 2024 in Houston. She was born in Los Angeles, California on February 18, 1948, to Eileen and George Magill.
Nanci was married to Sam Totah for over 49 years. She is the mother of Jimi Cagle and wife Terri Lee, the stepmother of Diana Totah and partner Richard Harris, Ted Totah and wife Laine, and Billy Totah and wife Gina.
Nanci graduated from Westbury High School in Houston. She attended secretarial school after high school and then worked as a legal secretary for both Armco Steel and Duke Energy for a combined 40 years.
Nanci belonged to Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Houston. She served as president of the Corpus Christi Women's club three times. She leaves behind numerous friends and her priests Father Tom and Father Sakar.
Nanci and her husband Sam loved to travel and they enjoyed many happy years exploring every continent. Nanci excelled in cake making and she delighted her grandchildren with special cakes each year for their birthdays.
She is predeceased by her parents and elder sister Dennice.
She is survived by her husband; children; grandchildren, Dru Cagle, Braden Cagle, Danny Totah and wife Brooke, Kyle Totah and wife Sarah, Michelle Totah and Rachel Totah. In addition, Nanci had numerous nieces and nephews including Kathy George, Shaun Magill, Natalie Magill, Scott Byrd, Chipper Byrd, and Jeff Byrd; beloved younger brother, Patrick and his wife Linda.
One of Nanci's joys was gardening. You could often find her in her backyard where she was happiest tending to her flowers.
Funeral services will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church 9900 Stella Link Road, Houston, Texas 77025 on Friday, May 10, 2024, with a rosary at 10:30am, followed by Mass at 11:00am. The Reception will be at noon in the Church Fellowship Hall.
